Cici conceives of sculpture-cinema sets which invites audiences to re-approach cinema through minute observations and gestures.

mediated by the arrangement of objects, each work invents a new posture for viewing the cinematic artifact.

Oh, how far have we already distanced ourselves from couches, the silver screen and perhaps popcorn. . .

each of her works has, hidden or exposed, somewhere within the architecture of desire, a film.

how one views that film, she continually re-defines

according to the context of the film, which she so loves.

Generally avoids the political and reaches for the universal.

If a fly pays her a visit in a quiet night, she would take that as a message from her lover from afar.

Regular consultations with belongings that she can't afford to shed breeds complex narratives. The backlash of nostalgia nudges her towards an interest for plurality.
